Former Alpine Meadows Freestyle Team member Brita Sigourney got off to a strong start this season. The Breckinridge stop of the Dew Tour is one of the first big events of the season. Brita scored a 90.25 in her first run of the finals, beating out Maddie Bowman for 1st place honors. This was an important win for Brita. She gained world recognition last season for being the first woman to complete a 1080 in a superpipe competition at the Winter X Games. She then suffered a knee injury at a spring event, which required a summer and fall of intensive rehab and training. Congrats again to Brita and her family, also Alpine Meadows regulars.
