We’re still looking at a weekend ahead with a lot of rain, and hopefully some snow. The latest updates to the forecast have mostly added a lot of wind to the forecasted storms. Local news outlets continue to advertise the possibility of flooding and power outages through the weekend. As hopes of an Alpine Meadows early opener are all but gone, and thoughts of skiing and boarding this weekend seem all but impossible – it’s time for some other diversions.
Truckee beat out Durango in Round 1 of Powder Magazine’s “Best Ski Town” showdown. The next round is Truckee vs Telluride. Voting is via Powder Magazine’s Facebook page on December 2-3.
