Alpine Meadows is reporting 12″ of new snow up top from the latest system and colder temps ahead should allow for consistent snowmaking conditions. Officially its just about one more month until Alpine Meadows opens for the season. It’s a good sign that some efforts are beginning at laying down some base. Although the extended forecast currently looks positive, that can all change pretty rapidly.
With the PNA currently negative and the models calling a a couple of more big storms in the next two weeks, a quicker opening could happen. Even JMA managed to make it happen in 2010. Thanks for bring up the stoke level Alpine Meadows!
