With a forecast that flipped from snow to a mini-heat wave…there’s only one thing to do – watch ski movies. I’ve been starting my season with Warren Miller movies since about 1975. Truth be told, the season now seems to start with a Teton Gravity Research premiere; and Warren Miller is really Jonny Moseley these days.
Nonetheless, the Alpine Meadows Freestyle Team has always produced solid athletes. This year, we’ll see several in Warren Miller’s “Flow State”. US Freeskiing Team member David Wise will be joined by former Alpine Freestyle teammates Austin Simonpietri and Billy Mann for segments in this year’s WME offering.

David Wise, Gold Medal winner of the 2012 X-Games Superpipe event, was filmed in Northstar’s superpipe.
Congrats to all of these former Alpine Meadows Freestyle Team athletes. Warren Miller’s “Flow State” will show in Reno as a part of the Bobofest 2012 on Friday, November 16th. The doors open at 6 and the show begins at 8. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for kids and are available at Bobo’s in Reno.
