Valleygirl and crew were back at Alpine Meadows today to let the rest of us know how things fared over the warm week. I was a little worried. At the end of last weekend, the official report showed 68″ at mid-mountain, and today that number was reported as 44″. It’s going fast. Never fear though, as Valleygirl’s pictures show there’s still plenty of coverage.
Another good thing to report is that Alpine Meadows ran both Roundhouse and Summit today. It would seem natural that they will do the same for the weekend. Day ticket prices have also been reduced to $69, unless you have a pass for another resort, in which case you can get a $50 ticket. Both of these are good news for late season skiers and riders.
Operations are early, and thats good, because as of 10:30 pm, the mountain temperatures are in the mid-50’s. It’s not going to freeze tonight. It will be fun, no matter what. Myself, I just completed a late night Safeway excursion to cover tomorrows tailgater.
Here’s the pictures, with all photo credits going to Valleygirl:
Hey slacker, where’s your trip report on the Fantastic Friday Frolic at Safeway 🙂
Valleygirl:- thanks for the stokefilled pics.
Shoulder season at Safeway…pretty empty at 10 pm. 🙂 You know we’re counting on you for some stoke pictures from you to get us through summer…
At $53 a day to park in open air carparking, are you paying???:)
Mark,
Is it true that at ‘page 3’, SVSH told ‘Lapco’ that paid parkng was a possibility? The fosv folks need to stomp on that asap.
