No lifts were spinning today so we’ve been saving a cool video for this day. Alpine Meadows gromstar Eric Bourke recently put out this edit for the 2014 Teton Gravity Research Grom Contest. The contest, in it’s 5th season, rewards some of the best young skiers and riders with some new Sony video equipment and a chance to appear in the next TGR movie.
Eric is a pretty phenomenal skier and clearly represents the soul of Alpine Meadows. The fact that he was able to have so much fun on the mountain during a serious drought year is really commendable. If you’ve been avoiding skiing and riding at Alpine this season due to the low tide conditions, think again, because there’s people out there making the best of it. Good luck to Eric in the contest. I just spent some time watching some of the other entries and yours has a lot of great skiing. Thanks for sharing the stoke.
