Based on the huge success of the Apex Club at Palisades Tahoe, we decided that we could, and should, have something like that built just for Alpine Meadows skiers and riders. So for the ’26/’27 ski season, we are introducing The Acme Club by Unofficial Alpine Meadows. With a small monthly membership fee, payable only during the regular ski season, we can offer benefits like you have never experienced while at your favorite mountain.
While we can’t offer you line cutting privileges like the other club, we think you will still want to be a part of the newest elite experience in Lake Tahoe. Here’s what you can expect for our inaugural season:
Private Access To The Acme Club Lounge
We are currently in negotiations with the mountain to renovate the former location of the howitzer at the top of Gunner’s Knob. This exclusive location has the benefit of being easy to access with a short traverse, but still maintaining that private exclusive feeling. From the deck you will have views of bands playing on the Sun Deck, or the latest Chalet party. Indoors, enjoy our exclusive “Dynamite” cocktail and a menu catered by the Roadrunner Cafe of Dayton NV.
Leaving the lounge, you can take the easy route down Clubhouse Road, or the more challenging routes off of Tiegel Chutes or the West Face of Gunners Knob. No matter which route you choose, people will know that you are somebody special.

You’ll Get Access To The Unofficial Map Of Alpine Meadows

This has been the number one request from our readers, an exclusive map of all of the unofficial runs at Alpine Meadows. Sure, some people have access to the secret “patrol maps” you have acquired from some friendly employee. But it’s not the same. You don’t need to know the location of sleds on the mountain or sign caches.
You want to know those secret places we talk about in our reports. You want to know where to find powder when you arrive at the mountain at 11:30; or where to avoid crowds when the groomed runs get crazy. Our unofficial map, available exclusively in the our app, while subscribed to The Acme Club, will reveal those secrets.
Shop For Exclusive Alpine Meadows Logo Wear
Finding actual Alpine Meadows branded logo wear is becoming more and more of a challenge. The last limited run at Estelle Sports was more than 5 years ago. Most people have had to resort to cheap knock off products found on eBay or in the ski area parking lot.
We’ve already sourced grey market logo wear ski shells, created by Ayaguchi of China, Ltd. With immediate availability to all Club members, these shells are rated for an amazing 4k of water resistance and breathability. Note: These shells were purchased legally through an auction house after tariffs were not paid.
Pending our licensing negotiations with the Alpine Meadows Ski Corporation, we anticipate availability of additional hoodies, tees and hats by early 2027. These items will be exclusively available to club members.

Unlock Our Mobile App Features For The Northern Annex

We know there’s days that some of you want to go to Palisades Tahoe:
- Your kid is doing race training on the other side
- You have an insatiable urge to hot lap Mountain Run just like when you were 11 years old
- You want people to notice your new Tipsy Elves outfit
- You have an insatiable urge to eat a liege waffle while sitting amidst a faux european village while a DJ pumps out the jams at 110 dB
- Maybe today is the day for Silverado
Now you can have a mobile app that works just like our Unofficial Alpine Meadows app. You won’t be left wondering whether that run you like is located on Snow King peak or Granite Chief peak. Just click the checkbox to unlock the Acme Club feature and navigate Palisades Tahoe like a pro.
Enjoy The Acme Club Cabins On The B2B
We are currently in negotiations with Palisades Tahoe to create a limited number of Acme Club cabins on the Base To Base gondola. Since the lift has already been built, some of us actually may use it. Personally I find it’s a great place to enjoy a scenic lunch ride when there’s visitors in town.
Acme Club cabins will have the Palisades Tahoe branding removed and replaced with proper Alpine Meadows logos. Cabin doors will remain closed at top of KT-22 and at the base area at Palisades Tahoe, allowing for an uninterrupted 32 minute scenic dining experience. Note: You can change this setting on the Acme Club panel in our app
We are also working with Melanie at Viva Treats to create special picnic lunch boxes for two, four or six people. Signature sandwiches will be available with either chicken or tuna salad. Of course soft warm chocolate chip cookies will be included. Due to licensing issues, it is a BYOB picnic.

Ski Or Ride With The Unofficial Crew

After 5 months of continuous membership in the Acme Club, you will earn the privilege of skiing or riding with either Mark or Andy for a day. We can’t call it a mountain tour, as that could get us banned from the mountain. But you can jump on the chair with us and follow along for some fun.
You’ll find small niches on the mountain that you never knew existed. You’ll participate in some of the most inane chairlift conversations you have ever heard. It’s a guarantee that someone will pull the safety bar down on your head when you least expect it.
You can try to emulate Andy’s tiny turns and he might give you a tip or two, but it cannot look like a lesson. While Mark won’t be able to teach you much about skiing, he will be sure to tell you how much he loves skiing Alpine Meadows or how much he loves his skis.
Fine print: We may or may not laugh at your jokes or stories. You are limited to taking only one selfie per session with Mark or Andy. We reserve the right to approve of all images that may be posted to your social channels.
Become An Unofficial Alpine Meadows Intern
After two complete seasons as an Acme Club member, you may become eligible to become a star as an Unofficial Alpine Meadows intern. These positions are absolutely unpaid in any form. We will not provide you with passes or equipment, and yes, you will still have to pay your club fees.
But you will be allowed to submit photos for our posts, and receive credit as a photographer. Photo submissions will still require approval by Mark or Andy. Any use of AI modifications to your photos will not be permitted.
Additionally, you may be asked to ski or ride sketchy terrain so we can photograph you for our posts. If something looks too icy, too rocky, cookie filled or insanely crowded – we will photograph you going first and give you the credit as a skier or rider. This will happen no matter how bad or good you look.

Make Sure You Get In On Our Introductory Pricing
Who can afford to drop five figures on the Apex Club? We know that we cannot. That is why we’ll be offering a monthly subscription for the Acme Club at Alpine Meadows. Club fees are only payable while the mountain is open for skiing and riding and will be prorated during partial months.
We have set our introductory pricing for the Acme Club at $1,961 per month. In a short season like ’25/’26, your total membership would only have been $5,800. That is a true bargain compared to other clubs in the area! True Alpine Meadows connoisseurs will know exactly why we selected that number for pricing.
The major banking networks are still in the approval process for our credit card payments. Just enter your email in the form below, and we will let you know when we are ready to accept new members.
Meep Meep!
Well done!! Thank you for all the information and fun this season!

I need this in my life!
Can the acme club negotiate with Homewood for a peak to peak gondola installation?
You laugh, but when JMA owned Alpine they contracted helicopter flights between Alpine and Homewood with thoughts of linking the two. This was also when they thought they were gonna be able to buy the northern annex. We all know what happened with that. While Alterra not be the perfect landlord, they are night and day better than JMA.
Any way we can buy the apparel without being a member?
Who’s gonna tell her?
I am guessing it is April fools! But would still love alpine swag. Lol
We all would love that!
April F O O L S 😂🤣😂
yep anyo 1961 Will bread pudding be an Acme club Lounge staple
Sign me up! 😆
Guys – you forgot to mention the free tube of Clearasil that comes with the Acme club membership.
Were you thinking it was the “acne” club?
Excellent, April fools day joke; you had me until the pricing. Would love the unofficial map.
A nice touch would be to give Club Members stickers for chairlifts. They would say something like, Elite Acme Member and then our name. For every reply to the blog, we would get another sticker and we could compete to see who can get the most of their named stickers on chairlifts. I love Acme already!
I will join if you include the Acme boot putter on-er often seen in locker room #3. Assuming there is no trademark infringement.
I have not always agreed with your posts but appreciate your info and sense of humor. So in thanks for all your years of service I will be joining the Acme Club in 26/27. Furthermore after 25 years of living in Olympic Valley I will exclusively ski Alpine Meadows next season. Thanks to the Base to Base Gondola and Mountaineer it will be a snap. Please send me the unofficial app and Acme Club application form. Keep up the great, foolish work.
Haha, you guys better not give away the secret stashes or you’d see a revolt! Enjoy your day.
This is true thought leadership. Apex needs to take notes.
Couple questions:
Do current members of the acme club locker room get any additional benefits with the monthly membership?
Family discount?
Just go ahead and sign me up for 7.
If you trained the kids to wax skis, that might help defray the cost!
Hmm….Acme or Apex? Guess I’ll flip a coin….
The “Selling your email address” was a nice touch for April Fools. Cheers!
I am in for beer pairing consultation:
A beer sommelier, officially known as a Cicerone [si-sə-roʊn] in the US, is a trained professional specializing in the service, knowledge, and pairing of beer. Similar to wine sommeliers, they expertise in beer styles, brewing ingredients, and flavor evaluation. Cicerone certification programs (Level 1-4) formally validate expertise in beer service, tasting, and pairing.
Great stuff. Been reading for years. Still would like to see a copy of that “Secret Map”!
So i got the secret link to sign up, why did it need my SSN? is that for the credit check to ensure exclusivity?
I’d hate to see anybody making less than 8 figures be a part of this exclusive club.
Haaaaaaaaaaa!!! Great post! And very well-written. Thank an English teacher!!!!
Saw many April Fools out in the 2 hours they were open today…..
And today is… April fools day!
My check is in the mail.
Well written, and you had me going there for the first couple of paragraphs.
A good chuckle on this day for fools.
🙂
The UA Intern program is like a frat, there will be an initiation for all new interns. Also, you must have an iPhone. 😉
Reese was our
firstsecond intern. He would know!Looking forward to my first Safety Meeting at the new clubhouse.
10/10 This post was great! Sign me up!
Apex Club daily cost at the Northern Annex is as follows:
If full memberships are unavailable, “Apex Club Daily Tickets” are available for $800–$1200+ per day, offering access to the same exclusive benefits, such as the lounge and priority lines.
Such a deal.
That’s how crazy it was early on over there, but it ended up being one of the better days this year winter conditions wise
