Alpine 2 Squaw 10K Challenge Set For August 24

If you enjoy a good run and want to support the Squaw Valley • Alpine Meadows Foundation, it’s time to plan on attending the Alpine 2 Squaw 10K Challenge. The foundation supports ski teams at both Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley.

The race will begin in the Alpine Meadows parking lot, over the ridge above Juniper Mountain Road and back down into Squaw Valley, ending at KT-22. There’s a category for “People Only” and “People & Pets”, with age specific brackets in the “People Only Category. The race is billed as more of a fun run, where even walkers will enjoy participating and supporting the foundation.

Registration for the event is $30 per person and $5 for a pet until August 10th, when rates will go up just a bit. There’s also a need for volunteers the day of the event. Complete details are available at the Squaw Valley • Alpine Meadows Foundation site.
