We’re changing our look for a new season. We were sick and tired of our old WordPress theme, which remained the same for almost ten years. What we are not doing is changing our name or our logo. We’re going to remain UnofficialAlpine.com and maintaining our focus on Alpine Meadows. If you’re super stoked on new shiny things, you can use the URL UnofficialPalisadesTahoe.com to get here too.
There’s still some kinks to work out. I’ve got a support ticket or two already submitted to the authors of this new theme. We will see how responsive they are.
Thanks for enjoying UnofficialAlpine.com, and yes, we can’t wait for ski season to begin either!
Mark
Congrats on scoring the UOPalisades URL. I’m surprised that Allterra didn’t try to snatch it up ahead of time!
And the new site looks pretty spiffy too!
Thanks! Yeah just need to squash some bugs…better to be doing that in the off season.
Yo Mark, really dig the new look. Even though I defected to the little hill on the Summit without lines years ago, I still like to read about the goings-on down 89. Nice work on the UOPalisades score too. Enjoy #palisadesdonner
Thanks Colin, that’s high praise coming from you. It was time to move forward from 2012.
NEW SITE LOOKS GREAT! I USED ALL CAPS! See you out there, Mark

Those combed tracks in the powder should be on display in the Guggenheim. Now THAT’S art…
Love it! EXCEPT… the vertical scroll bar on the right is TINY! Seems to be part of the theme and it’s painful.
I had not noticed. The scroll bar width is not set by the theme. The is a function of your browser or maybe even your operating system. I have the same sized scroll bar, no matter which website I view. The bar is also the same size in Safari, Chrome and Firefox for my Mac. Sorry.
