Monday is looking like it provides the best chance for a light powder day. Officially NOAA is calling for 2-4 inches overnight, but BA at OpenSnow.com is seeing a bit more potential for the small storm and looking at the models, I agree. Picking up 9 inches from the storm would make it a major event by this season’s standards.
With Alpine Meadows rolling into it’s last week of weekday operations, it’s your last chance to skip school or skip work and have an appointment with Dr White at his Alpine Meadows office. After Monday, things warm up very dramatically, so expect spring conditions by the following weekend. There’s some other storm possibilities on the far end of the forecast – but that end of the forecast has not worked out very well since December.
If you have not given up on winter yet, go get it Monday!
Wait, what?? Last week of weekday ops? Is that official??
Yes starting on the 14th Alpine will only be open Fri, Sat and Sun as long as conditions permit.
Will Squaw run weekdays until their closing?
That is what I saw posted at the other Unofficial.
