The morning warmed by 11 under full sunshine and deep blue skies. This softened south and west facing slopes. I hit the hill at about 11 and enjoyed some excellent skiing. Groomed areas still held an edge in Alpine Bowl and Wolverine, but off piste was even better. Nice spring conditions were created by the warm sunshine. Soft, or almost soft, moguls filled the slope under Tower 19 and to the skiers left of Sunspot.
Sherwood Face and South Face got my heart rate up as I made as many turns in the bumps as I could without stopping for air. Ridge and Bobby’s Trails of Scott were smooth and soft by the time I hit them between noon and one.
It was just wonderful getting off the groomed trails and onto slopes that are a bit more challenging. I think tomorrow will be similar to today. I can hardly wait.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
