Hello Skiers and Riders,
Friday brought warmer weather and windless, sunny skies to Tahoe. A perfect day for sliding around the mountainside. South facing slopes are beginning to get that spring feel to them which means it may be firm on some slopes in the morning, but softer in the late morning and early afternoon. North facing slopes remain in good winter condition. The grooming crew was out again last night ” Groomers Gone Wild” is the new slogan for Alpine. It looks like it will be a beautiful weekend with the entire mountain open.
There is an Avalanche Awareness Class being offered at the Plaza Bar in Squaw Valley Saturday January 19th at 6:30. All ages are welcome. There will be door prizes. This might be worth attending.
