Andy Is Back & It’s Snowing In Tahoe

  • by

Hello Skiers and Riders,

For the second time this fall, snow is falling from the sky and accumulating on the ground.  It is snowing steadily at this hour (5 pm) at the base of Alpine Meadows Ski Area.  Some base snow remains on the mountain from the previous three foot storm that blew through this area in late October.  I was in Hawaii walking on a warm sand beach and swimming with turtles when winter first arrived.  A number of my friends claim to have multiple days of skiing in as a result of the first storm.

We are hoping this fall snow will bring an early season for all of you that cannot wait to put skis or a board on your feet.  This afternoon the snow is sticking and I can already see a couple of inches on my deck railing.

Fall has been beautiful in Tahoe.  It has been warm the past couple of weeks along with an incredible display of golden color from the Cottonwood and Aspen Trees.
It is time to begin thinking about winter.

Enjoy your day,

Andy
