Andy Wertheim: Blues Tuesdays

Hello Friends,

It is a beautiful day in Tahoe, but it started out rather cool.  Temperatures this morning were in the low 30’s with frost showing up in some areas.  We received a short downpour last evening, but it stopped just in time for the start of Blue’s Tuesday at the Village at Squaw Valley.  The Blue’s Monsters played in front of pretty good crowd of folks bundled up in attempts to stay warm.  Every Tuesday for the rest of the summer there will be free music and dancing in the village.

I have been paddling my kayak in the lake whenever possible, but windy days have put a limit to the number of times I have been out.  We were out playing golf at Northstar last week.  The course seemed to be in good condition to me (a hacker at best). Mountain biking is excellent, as it the hiking.  I just need to get away from my desk.

We have a few new listings on the market in the area that can be viewed on my website, including one in the Alpine Peaks Subdivision near the base of the Sherwood Ski Lift.  If you are interested you can see a virtual tour of the property at: 4074 Gstaad Rd, Tahoe City CA 96145, USA – Virtual Tour.

Here is something to think about for those of you who love a view of the lake and farm to table dining.  Bill McCullough, owner and chef at the Dragonfly in Truckee for years (now closed) will be the guest chef at a special July 5th evening atop the Homewood Chair.  Ride the chair to a lovely, excellent meal while gazing at the lake.  Tickets are limited.  Visit:

Ski Homewood/farmtopeak.com for reservations.

Enjoy your day,

Andy Wertheim
