Somewhat limited terrain again this morning as the upper mountain was on wind hold.
Sunny day with cooler temperatures and lovely corduroy to ski today, but it is getting a little repetitive.
We really need some snow to freshen up the hillsides and reopen areas that are currently frozen and not really great for skiing. After lunch Sherwood softened, a least on the prior nights groomed runs according to someone who sent me a text. I skied a couple of hours this morning and enjoyed all the corduroy runs off Roundhouse. 60 to 80 mile an hour winds kept both Summit and Alpine Bowl Chairs in stagnant mode. I did ski Bobby’s just before noon and found it to be firm, but not a slick sheet of ice.
Of course I tried Sympathy which remains the same in the shaded areas.
I sat on the deck for awhile after my morning ski with some friends who were munching on their lunch. The deck was basically vacant today (the joys of skiing midweek). There were not lines at the lifts, but a nice size group of were zipping around the mountain. The good news today was that I did not run into anyone who was confused by the sign at the bottom of the hill.
Enjoy your day,
