Hello Skiers,
Another beautiful day surrounded us as we toured our favorite mountain. The huge crowd that lined up at the Summit Chair yesterday seemed to have dissipated overnight. This morning there appeared to be fewer anxious people rushing to stand in line before the chairs opened. Perhaps this was do to the fact that the other valley opened its upper mountain. Scott Chair opened for the first time this year. Of course, there was a good sized line of sliders waiting for the first ride, but the line was soon manageable.
Parking lots appeared full so there were plenty of people on the hill, but lines at Alpine, even with limited lifts open, were tolerable.
Skiing was excellent again to day. Chalky conditions in shaded areas that were well skied yesterday, pleasant groomed runs, and patches of untracked powder between trees. Slopes that received sun yesterday were a little more firm where they had been well skied or just a little crusted over where they had not been touched. I enjoyed D7, Sympathy, Banana Chute, Pygmy Forrest, Terry’s Return, and the shade side of Standard Run along with a number of other trails.
I was told that Scott Chute (skier’s left) was excellent.
No reason to complain about the snow today.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
