High winds early in the morning kept Summit and Alpine Bowl Chairs on windhold. We took a number of runs on Roundhouse, enjoying high speed carving turns on the nicely groomed trails. The groomed trails were a little more firm with a few more marbles scattered over the surface today than yesterday. However, they still held an edge on those wide carving turns.
We waited for the air temperature to increase and soften south facing slopes. At noon I was enjoying Sherwood Face making turns in soft spring snow. After a number of trips up and down Sherwood we headed over to Lakeview. Outer Limits was in prime spring condition, as was Bobby’s Run. Summit did open later in the morning, but I did not get to the top today. A friend mentioned the groomed runs on the upper mountain were still rather firm at 1pm, but that is a second hand report.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
