Six inches of new snow fell overnight at the base of Alpine Meadows. It was just enough to enjoy powder turns in the soft new snow. The sun showed its face a little in the morning and then gray set in for the afternoon. Just as I left they opened the top section of Treeline Cirque, which must have given a few people some fresh turns.
After a couple of runs the powder was pretty chewed up, so we wandered over to Kangaroo and found some untouched snow which was pure joy. The attached photos show our second or third tour to Kangaroo which was getting skied out, but still good for a few squiggles. No complaints from this skier today.
Attached is also a photo of my mother, father, myself and my younger brother taken many years ago in Squaw Valley when we were learning to ski on the Papoose slope where a rope tow was the only way uphill.
There are currently no homes or condominiums for sale in Alpine Meadows. Just in case anyone is interested in selling, now would be a great time to give it a try. We have a list of people looking for homes in Alpine, Alpine Peaks and the general Tahoe City area in all price ranges.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
