Happy New Year to All
The last day of 2019 was a good one on the hill. Blue sky, warmish temperatures, and good snow. There was too much east wind on the ridge at the top of Summit Chair which cause the lift to be closed, at least in the morning. ABC was running slow as ever, but it did get near enough to the top to allow traversing to Sunspot and beyond. I enjoyed the small moguls to the skiers left of the groomed area of Sunspot. Under Alpine Bowl Chair was also enjoyable. Gentian Gully remains in good winter condition. The snow surface under Sherwood Chair softened in the late morning into a spring like condition. Warm sunshine and soft snow makes me smile.
More sun is on the way for the rest of the week. Crowds were again acceptable.
Thank you for all the kind words I received regarding my father’s 100th birthday. He appreciated all of them. We had a lovely party for him last night.
Enjoy your day,
Andy
