I’ll be the first to say it. There used to be many UnofficialAlpine.com stickers on the chairlifts of Alpine Meadows. While that may have helped us grow in the early days, we’re really trying to help mountain workers out. The problem is that once there is one sticker on a chair, it seems like they multiply overnight. It gets way out of hand really rapidly.
Over the years, we’ve changed the format of our stickers, so they fit better on helmets and skis. That’s where they belong…or maybe your Rocket Box or the rear window of your car. Any message you’re trying to deliver works better when people can associate that message with you. This is true whether it’s our stickers, kind of our stickers, or someone else’s sticker.
I’m pretty proud of the community we have built at Alpine Meadows. Unofficial Alpine is the largest online community of any singular mountain in Tahoe, and as of now we have a pretty good relationship with our home mountain. We want to keep it that way. Thanks for your help.
