We don’t always agree with Andy Wirth’s decisions, but we respect him for pursuing one of his passions, skydiving. Yesterday, it was widely reported that Mr. Wirth was injured after taking a hard landing while skydiving near Lodi. The injury, reportedly to his arm, required a surgery immediately and will require a second surgery today.

Anyone that pursues an active sport knows that some day your number may come up. We are all subject to injuries, or even death when we mess around with gravity. It saddens us that some people have used this unfortunate accident to take a jab at Andy Wirth. We have seen some pretty vicious commentary online already.

We sincerely send our regards to Mr. Wirth and hope he has a rapid recovery from this incident. We always hope to see the CEO out on the mountain on skis or a snowboard.  We’ll be looking for you on the mountain Mr. Wirth. 🙂
