Wise Wins World Championship In Superpipe

  • by

David Wise OsloAlpine Meadows Freestyle Team alumnus David Wise won the championship gold medal in the superpipe at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships in Oslo, Norway. His score of 96.2 on his first run was enough to beat out Torin Yater-Wallace and Tomas Krief for the top position on the podium.

Wise is having a solid season this year, having also won gold at this year’s Winter X Games in Aspen, Co in January. David’s previous best finishes at the World Championships were 4th place finishes.

Congrats to David, his family and the coaches that have been a part of his success this season. It’s sad that Alpine Meadows is always promoting Errol Kerr and Jeremy Benson, whom are both fine skiers. But neither of them has won a world championship, nor an upper level event like the Winter X Games. It seems like they would want to let the world know that David Wise got his start at Alpine Meadows…we have ya covered David! Great job!
